Can a titanium rings be cut off a finger?
Often, retail jewellers in South Africa will attempt to talk clients out of purchasing a titanium ring. They may mention that tungsten rings are more popular right now, or they may say that in case of an accident, a titanium ring can’t be cut off your finger. The latter is, of course, a myth and with the right equipment titanium rings can be removed without too much drama.
If your finger is swollen at home and you’d like to try removing your ring yourself, there’s a technique using dental floss which you can do yourself, with no medical assistance required. It worked for this guy whose ring hadn’t been off his finger for 10 years – and we’re pretty sure it will work for you!
