Today, 3-stone diamond engagement rings are becoming increasingly popular amongst diamond jewellery shoppers. Often marketed to represent "Yesterday, today and tomorrow", the 3-stone diamond ring commonly comprises a larger central diamond flanked by two matching, smaller diamonds which may be the same shape or a different shape to the central diamond.

The cost of each ring is dependent on the size and quality of the diamond set in the ring, in addition to the metal used during jewellery manufacture and the size of the ring to be made.
